About the Exhibition
Fantasy or fashion? Many hats are crafted with a theme and a story. What better place to explore these stories than beneath The Dome of the iconic Geelong Library and Heritage Centre – a masterpiece of contemporary architectural design.
‘Hats Under the Dome‘ presents an inspiring installation of Millinery Art and Fashion Hats showcasing the creative and vibrant works of Millinery Australia members.
This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to view, up close, the craftsmanship typically seen only on runways, in galleries, at Fashions on the Field events and in millinery competitions. Discover the skill, imagination and artistry that bring each hat and headpiece to life.
What to Expect
- A curated display of millinery art by members of Millinery Australia
- A step-by-step installation illustrating How a Hat is Made
