Block Library Catalogue

Millinery Australia was fortunate to have been the recipient of several millinery block collections, both of which came via Kangan TAFE in Melbourne, after the closure of their millinery certificate course in 2024.

One collection contained blocks used by millinery students beginning their journey and developing their love for the craft. The second collection was a generous gift from the late Paris Kyne, a renowned Melbourne milliner, to Kangan. It includes his cherished personal block collection.

These blocks, rich in history, carry the legacy of both Kangan and Paris. The Kangan blocks inspired countless students over the years. While Kyne’s private collection offers a rare glimpse into his creative process and significant contribution to the industry. Together, these collections form an invaluable part of Australia’s millinery heritage.
