About the Exhibition

Hats Under the Dome presents an inspiring installation of Millinery Art and Fashion Hats, showcasing the creative, vibrant works of Millinery Australia Members.

Fantasy or fashion? Did you know that many hats are created with a theme and/or story in the milliners mind?

Get up close and personal to these amazing hats and learn the stories behind them when you visit The Dome, at the iconic Geelong Library & Heritage Centre, a masterpiece in itself of contemporary architectural design.

This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to view, up close, the craftsmanship typically seen only on runways, in galleries, at Fashions on the Field, and in millinery competitions.

Discover the skill, imagination, and artistry that brings each hat and headpiece to life.
