About Lauren J Ritchie
Lauren J Ritchie discovered her passion for Millinery when she attended a short course in Millinery at Riverina Institute of TAFE in Albury during her final year of High School. She moved to Melbourne to complete her tertiary studies completing Bachelor of Applied Science – Fashion Design at RMIT and Certificate II, III & IV in Millinery at Kangan Batman Institute under Paris Kyne and Serena Lindeman. Since 2011, she has worked for Louise Macdonald, a well-respected Melbourne Milliner and also taught classes from Louise’s studio in the Nicholas Building.
Since graduating from her studies Lauren became member of the Millinery Association of Australia in 2014, was elected to be a member of the committee and then Secretary for the Association in 2016 and again in 2017.
Lauren has created cloches for the Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries on the ABC, pieces for The Production Company’s performance of Funny Girl, The Color Purple by Stage Art, Around the World in 80 Days by Ellis Productions and Il Signor Bruschino by Lyric Opera.
