About Rachael Henson
Rachael’s hats combine clean elegant shapes, are always interesting, and are finished with a dash each of whimsy and high spirits.
Rachael started making hats in 1998 and in 2015 was fortunate to gain some workroom experience while working for Phillip Rhodes Hats (Melbourne, Australia) over the spring racing season. Theatrical, wholesale and bespoke work all came through this very busy traditionally run workroom, run to a high standard of quality.
Rachael has made headwear for dignitaries, politicians, royal wedding attendees, race goers, and brides (and their mothers) and local theatre productions such as Mary Poppins, Titanic, Wicked and The Little Mermaid.
Rachael currently works from her workroom in Canberra closely supervised by Oliver the dog. They both adore visitors, but are equally delighted to have a long distance relationship with a client who needs something special made for them.
